Tamra Barney Discusses Her Friendship With Gretchen Rossi
"... As you know, there was a lot of outside input that led to our bad relationship. Then it just escalated. it got to the point where we were verbally attacking each other for the sake of the show. It just felt time to build a bridge and get over it. In the process of doing that, we've realized that we really like each other and we get along really well. We've become extremely close through this adventure."

Kyle Richards Says The Reunions Are "Like Mental Torture"
Kyle Richards discussed the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion during her interview with Good Morning America the other day, emphasizing how stressful these reunions can be on the cast members.
"It's really like mental torture sitting there with all the women. We put our arguments to rest a few months ago and then all of a sudden rehash everything, is very painful. And if you're very honest and people are highly sensitive, it leads to an argument again. I always laugh because in the morning we're running around and laughing, going back and forth to each other's dressing rooms, and by the end of the day, there are always a few who aren't talking or whose feelings are hurt."

Fresh Faces in Beverly Hills?
Everyone has their own opinions about who they want to see back on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for the 3rd season (which still has not been confirmed). The Huffington Post reports two names that are floating around as additions in the 90210: Vanessa Bryant and Lisa Gastineau.
Vanessa Bryant is the ex-wife of NBA player Kobe Bryant. "She would make a great addition to the cast," an insider told Huffington Post. "She is now single and free and doesn't ever have to worry about earning another dollar in her life, so she can focus on what makes the show so much fun: herself."
Lisa Gastineau was married to NFL player Mark Gastineau until 1991 and co-stared with her daughter on E!'s Gastineau Girls from 2005 to 2006. "Lisa is the opposite of Vanessa," the insider revealed. "She is the example of how not to get divorces. She has a wonderful life but works very hard to pay her bills and would love to find love again."
No decisions have been made about casting and the rumors remain merely that... just rumors.

This has been a fun and exciting season of Housewives and I hope you all

Since Jason announced at dinner that Pandora accepted his
proposal earlier this season, we have been privy to snippets of the planning
and preparation of the “Vander-Fabulous” wedding featured in the season finale
of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”. Fabulous indeed!!!
The beautiful white billowy, air-conditioned tents that covered the
tennis courts were only a small part of the overall design that turned
“VanderPump Manor” into a five-star venue for this amazing event. Inside the tent, the ceiling was dripping
with crystals and white flowers, silver chandeliers woven with blush pink and
white roses hung with hundreds of candles in them. There were THOUSANDS of blush pink and white roses, wrapped
in pink ribbon and bling, with white candles in crystal holders of every size
and shape you can imagine. Delicate
silver arches wrapped in green foliage and roses were also scattered around the
room. Outside the tent, there were
fresh flowers as far as the eye could see and the grounds were perfectly
sculptured and manicured. No
detail was overlooked, down to the custom wine labels for all of the 120
bottles served that day – in pink!
The cake was gigantic – five layers of ivory colored fondant and trim
accented with fresh roses (in an almost fuchsia shade of pink) which covered
the top layer and then cascaded down one entire side and spilled on to the
table. It was a scene set for a
Prince and Princess!
In the several hours before the wedding, we see Lisa nervous
and fretting about everything – as any mother of the bride who was planning and
paying for an event of this scale would be. It’s the first time we’ve seen Lisa with her hair not
perfect this season – but she still looks amazing and real. She made all of the flower arrangements
for the inside of the house herself (is there anything this woman can’t
do?) Once the bridal party started
to get ready, the identical triplets (Korrie, Kelsey and Kaeli) arrived to do
hair and make-up. Lisa has her
hair in curlers, and still managed to coordinate everything with grace and ease
despite being stressed out. She
even got her son, Max, to cut off his faux-hawk prior to the ceremony (“It
looks like a squirrel!”). Once
dressed, Lisa looks amazing! Her
gown is spectacular – strapless pink satin with diamonds encrusting one side of
the bust and the waistline. Add
huge chandelier diamond earrings and a tiara and you have a glamorous mother of
the bride that looks like royalty!
Lisa and Pandora talked about the tiara (Lisa felt it was too much), but
Pandora insisted that she wear it – which is why she bought it for her! Lisa’s response was “Hey if she wanted me to wear my
knickers on my head I’d wear it – it wouldn’t be the first time!” Ken (and Giggy) both look very regal in
their tuxes. Enter the bride . . . Pandora walked
down the stairs to her parents and you can literally feel Lisa hold her breath. Pandora looked every bit of the
fairytale princess! Her hair was
down in soft curls and she wore a beautiful lace trimmed veil, along with the
spectacular strapless dress that we saw earlier in the season (plus more bling
and hand-made roses that she and Lisa sewed on). “I just want you to be happy, the rest will follow”, Lisa
said to her. “If Jason loves you
half as much as I do, you’re a lucky girl”. What a
wonderful relationship the two of them have! You can see Lisa holding in the tears as she looked at her
daughter with amazement and pride.
After a cocktail hour around the pool, the ceremony was held
in a separate area of the “backyard” at dark. A huge gazebo was decorated with more roses and candles for
the bride and groom, with satin covered chairs on either side of the aisle for
guests. Jason looked thrilled and
excited when he saw Pandora walking down the aisle with Ken. Lisa was so sad and happy – watching
her husband and their daughter. “I
would do anything to turn the clock back 25 years and do it all again”, she
said. The viewers didn’t get to
see much of the actual ceremony or the reception that followed. There were highlights from the evening
that were shown, including their first kiss, the toast that Ken was worried
about (he did great!), and LaToya Jackson getting down on the dance floor by
Paul and Adrienne (who apparently went non-stop for over 2 hours!). Overall, it looked like a
beautiful day for a very wonderful couple. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Sabo!
Other than the wedding (which took up the large portion of
the episode), we saw Paul and Adrienne sitting together in a doctor’s office or
surgery center waiting room. Apparently,
Paul was having a colonoscopy and was nervous. Adrienne was there to support him, but drew the line at
being in the bathroom with Paul during his pre-procedure enema (can we blame
her – ewww?) Why we got to see the
actual colonoscopy while it was being done (censored of course), I’m not sure. Good to know that Paul has no polyps
and is perfectly healthy in that department. Although Paul coming out of sedation and passing “air” was
hilarious! Adrienne just rolled
with it – laughing the whole time.
It was a PSA for a colonoscopy, that’s for sure!
Lastly, we see the ladies gather at Kyle’s house for a
dinner party three weeks after Pandora’s wedding. During the “interview” segments that are woven in to the
actual filmed footage, Kyle Richards tells the viewer that they haven’t seen
much of Taylor since Russell’s death, and she wanted to get everyone together
to see how they were doing. Its
made to feel like Russell passed during those three weeks between the wedding
and this dinner party, when in reality Pandora’s wedding was August 27th and Russell Armstrong died prior to the wedding, on August 16th. Camille is the first to arrive, then
Adrienne, Lisa, and lastly Taylor and Kennedy. Kyle let’s them know that Kim isn’t coming (it seems like
she and Kyle were still struggling with their relationship). The ladies sit in the living room of
Kyle’s house (the kids were in a different room playing) and do what
girlfriends who haven’t seen each other in a while do – catch up over
cocktails! Lisa passed around some
spectacular wedding photos. Adrienne
has a gift for everyone – shoes from her collection. Camille talks a little about Dimitri, her Greek boyfriend,
and shows a picture of his torso (Oh My Abs!). Taylor says she and Kennedy are doing good and getting
better every day. Kyle thanks them
all for their friendship, and tells them that they are her family and she is
very thankful they are in her life.
All of the ladies agree that it has been a surprising journey that they
have been on this season, and it has just made them stronger women overall.
Here are the “updates” that were given at the end of the
episode:
Taylor – facing financial and legal issues, is publishing
her memoirs.
Camille – she and her beau are still hot and heavy.
Lisa – she and Ken “downsized” to a 10,000 square foot home,
and then added 2,000 square feet to it!
Adrienne – is celebrating her shoe lines success and having
a new neighbor across the street.
Kim – is not pregnant and checked herself into a drug and
alcohol rehabilitation center in December.
Kyle – wrote a book called “Life Is Not a Reality Show” and
includes a chapter on Sisterly Love.
Next Week: It’s
Part One of the Reunion!

Fans Weigh in on the RHOBH Finale
Here's what one of my FAVORITE fellow Housewives fans @RHOBHfans (you should all follow her, by the way!) thought of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills finale:
Pandora's wedding on the Season 2 finale was absolutely gorgeous! The entire this was so stunning and emotional- I really enjoyed watching her big day all come together. However, I was disappointed with BRAVO's decision to air the wedding AS the finale. Pandora is so fabulous and I adore her, however, it's not her show- and we saw more of her, her family and her friends than we did the housewives last night. I would have preferred BRAVO air her wedding as a special.
What I've grasped from my Twitter followers, is that they have a ton of unanswered questions...as do I. There was so much drama between between the ladies this season that was kind of just pushed aside and ignored with the awkward final scene at Kyle's house.
I have high hopes for the reunion, I hope that is where we will tie all our loose strings- what is Kim up to, what happened to Ken, how is Taylor doing, did something happen between Lisa and Adrienne, why did Lisa move, what's going on with Camille's love life, is Brandi going to be back? So many Q's!!
I had so much fun Tweeting with everyone this season, and cannot wait until Season 3! XO

She posted this message to her fans on her website:
"I have exciting news for you guys! The queen of too much information is coming to DAYTIME! It is going to be an exciting journey and I can't wait for you to join me. Thanks for being so loyal and supportive, without you, this wouldn't be happening. See you al this summer on Fox!"

"A year ago, we determined there was a need in the marketplace for a show that provided daytime women the opportunity to hang out with someone who understood their needs, desires and aspirations... a girlfriend," president of Warner Bros Ken Werner said in a statement. "The research is clear that Bethenny is that person. Fox shared our vision and we have partnered with them to demonstrate to the rest of the country how compelling such a show can be.
"I'm absolutely thrilled to be working with Telepictures, Ellen DeGeneres and Fox in doing what I believe is the next best step in my life and my career," Bethenny said. Camille Grammer Clears Up Season 3 Rumors
Although many have speculated that Camille Grammer will not be returning to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for season 3, Camille set the record straight with RumorFix. Thankfully, she says the rumors are not true.
"I haven't heard anything yet. None of us have heard anything yet," she told RumorFix. "Nobody said to me 'You're not coming back!' I never heard those words."
With the RHOBH ratings sky high, it's safe to assume that Bravo will pick the show back up for a third season, but Camille says that it's not final.
Sources close to the Bravo production told RumorFix that "no decisions have been made" and it's not uncommon for the current cast members to suggest new socialites for the show, but it doesn't mean anyone is being replaced.
God forbid if Camille isn't asked to return, she admits she would be disappointed. "When we're together-- all the girls-- it's so much fun, when we're not fighting!"
Personally I think Bravo should keep the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as is. If they get rid of anyone, I'd think it would be Taylor or Kim for their own sake and that would be fine. The only thing they need to do is add Brandi Glanville as an official wife!

Bethenny Frankel Gets "Frank" About Her Marriage
"I just turned 41, and to be perfectly honest, I unintentionally crammed everything in," Bethenny Frankel explained at the NBC Universal TCA Press Tour. "I got pregnant. I got married eight months pregnant, and now I sold my business or part of my business. We're just settling into what married life really is without the excitement of a wedding and the baby."
Bethenny's husband Jason Hoppy was instantly adored by her fans, but it quickly became obvious that he came from a different background. Opposites really do attract! And their differences will be shown on the upcoming season of Bethenny Ever After.
"We come from totally different backgrounds, and we're going through it," Bethenny said. "I'm in therapy. I've always been good at business, but I've always struggled with relationships based on my background and we kind of get into that this season. What's funny is we're not that opposite int he sense that we're both wildly inappropriate. We're not that opposite in the sense that we're both extremely money-conscious, frugal, and definitely have what I call 'money noise,' because he's had the same job for 12 years and actually makes a good living."

"This would be her dream come true," a friend of Lisa's said. Real Housewives of New York Filming in St. Barts
Re-Casting for the Beverly Hills Housewives?
Bravo wasn't too subtle when they gave nearly half of the Real Housewives of New York City cast the boot, but it was definitely necessary for the shows success. Some of the women had been on for many consecutive seasons and it was just their time to go. However, there are rumors that Bravo is doing some recasting for Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and apparently, Camille Grammer is at stake. If they should get rid of anyone, it should be Taylor and Kim for obvious reasons. Although we love both Taylor and Kim, it's clear that they need to get their lives in order and national television isn't the place to do it.
Camille Grammer spoke with the Huffington Post, and here's what she had to say:
"I had a good year, so I would want to go back for a third season, but they haven't asked me yet, so I wonder what's going on with that... I guess they decided who they want and I guess they are going to start casting, looking for new housewives. They told me they were going to start looking so it wasn't behind my back. They were like, 'Sorry we are doing a big casting call.' I was like, 'Thanks.'"
If you ask me, Bravo should keep the ladies pictured (Camille, Kyle, Adrienne and Lisa) and add Brandi as an official Housewife. What do you all think?

Guest Blog: Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Episode 19
This was a super-sized episode of RHOBH, and this is
definitely a super-sized blog to recap it all!
Brandi is the first of the ladies to arrive with a few of
her girlfriends and they all look stunning! OMG Brandi is so TALL!!! I really enjoy the teasing relationship
between Brandi, Lisa and Ken – it’s clearly all good-natured and very
flirtatious (Ken talking about Brandi, “ I’m to short for her.” Lisa – “You’re too married for her!”). Next to arrive is Adrienne and
Paul. No one can rock a gold lame
dress like Adrienne! The funniest
part of the evening was Bernie (Adrienne’s chef) arriving and Lisa having no
clue who he was!! There were several very awkward moments in this
episode. First up – Brandi
announces to her girlfriends that one of waitresses at SUR had an affair with
her husband while she was pregnant.
YIKES! Brandi had never
seen her in person before, only on a TV show where she was upset over loosing
her boyfriend (Brandi’s then husband) to his now wife. As she walked past with a tray of food,
Brandi said “Oh, you’re the girl that had sex with
my husband!” I don’t know anything
about the situation, but I gave this girl a lot of credit. She immediately went to Lisa, told her
that she had a personal situation with Brandi, and asked if she should go. Despite being an employee for two years, Lisa wasted no time
in sending the girl home for the night because Brandi was a guest and it was
more important that she was comfortable.
Major kudos out to everyone on handling a rough situation like ladies!
Taylor was welcomed with open arms. Lisa sees bruising under her eye,
covered with makeup, and asked her about it. Its then that we see that Dr. Sophy’s role is to facilitate
a conversation between Taylor and the rest of the ladies. Almost like a mediator. Taylor, Lisa, Kyle, Adrienne and Camille sit down at a table
with Dr. Sophy and Taylor begins to speak. She says over the last 6 months, she’s been acting like a
crazy person. Her life has been
out of control and she has been trying to make it better by herself, she
couldn’t do it so she started to act out all over the place and she’s sorry. She wanted to come to the party because
they have done so much for her and she loves them very much. Lisa said that she didn’t need to
apologize. Adrienne spoke up and
wanted to be honest – it’s been difficult for her to want to support Taylor
only to be confused again when she returns to the situation she is complaining
about over and over again. Kyle
said Taylor didn’t fit the “profile” of someone that would be going through
this, which I found very interesting.
Taylor then explains that a few weeks ago, she and Russell had a big
fight, things got physical and she got hurt (hence the residual bruising on her
face). She’s been dealing with
healing from that for the past few weeks.
It wasn’t easy and it’s not something she wants to live again. She understands that she pulled her
friends through the ringer, and she owns her actions and apologizes profusely
for them. Including specifically
apologizing to Camille for saying that she put her family in harms way. There was no shrinking away from her actions or words, and
she owned everything that happened this season thus far. The most powerful thing Taylor said
that night was that she wasn’t in a place to believe that she was valuable
enough to have anything different.
But she is now, so she is going through a divorce and trying to start
her life over. They all agree that
they just needed to come together for her and Kennedy. Taylor owns it all, and found the
strength to move forward but wants to know that they will all be there for her. Lisa puts all of their hands on the
table together, one on top of another, and they just sat looking at each other
and their hands intertwined. It was
one of the most real and powerful moments I’ve seen on any “reality” show, and
it brought tears to my eyes. I’m sure I wasn’t the only one. Taylor, Lisa, Kyle, Adrienne and
Camille. The REAL Housewives of
Beverly Hills. “Go Team” is right!
The second to the last episode of the season finds us at the
opening of the fabulous SUR (Sexy Unique Restaurant), the newest project from
Lisa and Ken. Wow, does it look
fantastic! You can really see why
they have been so successful in the before and after shots. The color palette is very relaxing and
glamorous, the furnishings are comfortable with a hint of exotic and the
flowers everywhere are breathtaking.
Looking at this place makes me want to call my travel agent and book a
trip to Beverly Hills – STAT!
Speaking of glamour – Ms. VanderPump didn’t fail to deliver in this
episode. Who wears leopard heels
with jeans in a construction zone?
Where can I get a style/body/booty like that? And she is SO British – “oh for God’s sake get off . . . not in front of everybody!” she
tells Ken when he tries to kiss/hug her and tell her what a wonderful job she
did on SUR. LOL
Next to arrive was Camille in a red-hot, one-shouldered
number that was ah-mazing! Lisa
better watch out because I think Camille is giving her a run for her money in
the glamorous department! Kyle,
Mauricio, Farrah and Faye arrived next.
Does Kyle Richards ever look bad?
I don’t think it’s possible!
I love how “real” she is!
Kyle was definitely on edge because she was anticipating an encounter
with Kim would be the most stressful part of her evening. Little did she know!
In walks awkward moment number two – Cedric! Kyle looked like she’d seen a
ghost! Lisa sees him and
responds with “are you kidding me?”
That woman is classy down to the bottoms of her shoes - she has ZERO
interest in having a conversation with him and asks him to leave right off the
bat. Her British manners take over
and whereas someone else may have turned it in to a screaming match, Lisa (and
then Ken) simply continued to tell Cedric that they have nothing to say to him
and would like him to leave. When
he was asked who invited him, his response of “It doesn’t matter who invited
me” indicates to me that possibly the producers or someone at Bravo may have had
a hand in it. Brandi was very
quick to speak up that it was not she, despite it being well known that she and
Cedric are friends. He has a
microphone on, so clearly SOMEONE knew he was coming enough in advance to him
to sign a tape release and mic him before he went in. (Kind of makes you wonder???) Brandi was clearly upset and worried that she was going to
get blamed for Cedric being there, and it appears that neither Ken nor Lisa
held her responsible for him showing up.
Cedric and his guest did eventually leave without bloodshed or riot, and
the party resumed.
Despite staying in a hotel closer to town, Kim and Ken were
late to the party (shocker!).
Earlier in the day, we watched the friction between the two of them as
Kim was getting her make-up done and talking with Thierry (the make-up artist)
about her argument with Kyle in Hawaii.
You can clearly see that Kim was stressed about seeing Kyle at the
party, and annoyed with Ken for not being more helpful. The room is a disaster, and Kim was
frazzled and constantly searched for things – in her purse, shopping bags,
suitcases, and drawers. (The
funniest thing she pulled out of her purse was the “lipstick” vibrator – and
she said she didn’t know what it was!
Hilarious!).
This gets worse as the day goes on. Watching Kim and Ken relate to each other now, it seems very
parent/child as opposed to the lovey-dovey relationship that we have seen
previously. Ken is being ultra
possessive – telling her what to wear, why he packed what he did for her, etc. Clearly, it’s suffocating her and she’s
trying to break free. Once at the
party, everyone seems surprised to see Kim – she and Kyle have an awkward
greeting and then break apart.
Poor Kyle, she is just not dealing well watching her sister implode and
feeling helpless. Kim wants to
socialize with her friends, and Ken wants to put the handcuffs on her. You can tell that it’s not going in a
good direction. Kim pulls Adrienne
aside and tells her that she is moving out. The two of them go in to the bathroom where Kim tells her
that Ken has a mean streak, is very possessive and she’s not dealing with it
well. Adrienne feels stuck in the
middle between Kyle and Kim, so she went to Kyle and told her that she needed
to go talk to Kim. I love
Adrienne! She is such a good
friend, a good person, and really cares about the relationship between the two
sisters.
At Adrienne’s prompting, Kyle approaches Kim to talk to her
and they go outside to chat. Kim confesses to her that it’s not working with
Ken. She tells Kyle that she spends
her days crying hysterically and he puts her down all the time. From her description, it seems like a
verbally abuse relationship. Kim
says she is packed and ready to move out.
Kyle is confused because she feels that Kim has been depressed lately,
despite pretending that she is happy.
Kim agreed that she has been pretending – but she wanted so badly not to
be alone and to have someone take care of her. They agree that the things they have argued about are stupid
and irrelevant. Kyle feels like
she is the one who always apologizes and Kim never apologizes to her. Kyle really needs to hear her say that. Kim feels like Kyle wants her to be
just like her. Kyle doesn’t – she
just wants her to be responsible and okay and happy. It was a very powerful scene between two sisters who love
each other very much and really are two worlds apart in their perceptions of
each other. The both seem to have
preconceived notions and expectations for the other one. Maybe they just need to stand back,
look at the situation with a different perspective, start from a place of love,
and restructure the expectations. Kim
telling Kyle she is 3 months late with her period thinks she is pregnant is craziness! Kyle’s comment about it being menopause is a more likely
story. Their heartfelt
conversation comes to an end when Ken walks up and sits down. Later that night, we see Kim apparently
barricaded in the bathroom and Ken trying to get her out. She keeps telling him to go away, leave
her alone, and that she is fine.
Later, we see her coming out of the bathroom with Estella (Kyle’s
mother-in-law), looking for Ken.
To be continued . . .
Taylor arrives at the party last, bringing Dr. Sophy (her therapist
/ adult and family psychiatrist) with her. Admittedly, it was a bit odd but clearly she needed emotional
support that evening and wasn’t sure that she would be receiving it from the
ladies. You can tell that
the women mean a lot to her, and she was fearful of being rejected by them for
what she has put them through. It’s clean up time for her, and I’m really proud to see that
she pulled up her big-girl panties and went for it, not knowing what the
outcome would be.
Next week on the season finale: Pandora’s wedding and the death of Russell Armstrong.

Another Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Star Headed to Rehab?
![]() |
| RealityTea |
Witnesses told Radar Online that Taylor was so intoxicated a few days ago leaving a restaurant that she couldn't even support herself. "She couldn't stand up without help and was being held up by her friend as she walked to the car. She looked absolutely wasted," says one onlooker.
"Taylor's closest friends and advisors have told her that she needs to go to rehab," a source tells Radar. Although she has declined the help, she "recognizes that alcohol is playing a much larger role in her life than she would like, but she is refusing to go to rehab, primarily because of Kennedy. Kennedy has already endured the loss of her father, and Taylor just doesn't want to spend any time away from her, period."
While it may be traumatic for her daughter at first, it also may be what's best for the family in the long run... Do you all think that Taylor needs to seek help?

Gretchen Rossi on the Cover of Absolute OC Magazine
Gretchen Rossi is on the cover of Absolute OC MAgazine on news stands now! Gretchen posted a preview of her interview with the magazine on her blog:
Absolute OC: Has fame changed you as a person at all?
Gretchen: It has not changed me as a person, I'm still me. I'm silly, I'm goofy and I'm a dork. However it has changed my life in the public. Fans are always taking pictures so I have to always look good, sometimes the pictures end up in the media so I have to always try to look my best.
Absolute OC: How long does it take for you to get ready in the mornings before you step out of the house?
Gretchen: Truthfully or made up answer? Seriously if I had to wash my hair it could take one and a half hours but I don't wash my hair every day so it depends. If I'm just going to target 3 minutes max. But I have my own makeup line and I love to put on my makeup and look good every day.
Absolute OC: If you had to choose to change just one thing in your life what would it be?
Gretchen: I don't know if I would change anything, everything that I have gone through in my life has brought me to where I am today and taught me very valuable lessons. I am very blessed to have a wonderful family and friends, and I have a wonderful man in my life, so I feel very blessed right now.

Camille Grammer Didn't Know Kelsey Was Having Twins
"Camille and the children had no idea," a source told the Huffington Post. "They found out about it from the media. Once again, selfish Kelsey decided to do what's best for him with no concern for his current children. He needs to stop talking about his private life in public. It's very hurtful for the children he already has."

Bethenny Frankel Talks Jill Zarin
"Jill Zarin is definitely a survivor. She is definitely well-to-do and I don't think she's worried about finding a job," she assured at a Bravo press tour panel. "She was on the show for years, and in many of the cities people are only on for one or two seasons. It just happens that they make it a little fresher. I'm sure she'll find exactly what she's looking for. It probably just stings a little bit." -Bethenny Frankel

Guest Blog: Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Episode 18
Aloha! The majority of our gang is still in Lanai, Hawaii to enjoy
the beautiful scenery and celebrate Mauricio’s birthday. Kim and Ken finally arrived, and Kyle
is dismayed that they are in the room directly next to her and Mauricio. She can hear them through the walls and
their balconies are connecting.
Kyle tells Lisa this and her reply was “you’re going to hear them humping
as well”! The look on Kyle’s face
was priceless because clearly she had a) knew it was true or b) already
experienced it and didn’t want to admit it. HA!
We see Paul and Adrienne out for a hike and it’s great to view a different side of their relationship – one that is softer and more romantic. They were even holding hands, which Adrienne said is something they don’t do regularly. Paul made a beautiful toast to her at dinner that night, and the kiss was something we had never seen between the two of them since RHOBH started. I think Adrienne is a really tough women and it seems that she has difficulty allowing herself to be vulnerable, even with Paul. It’s evident that there is a lot of love there.
Back on the catamaran, the captain found the perfect spot to
anchor and the gang had a relaxing afternoon. As usual, hijinx and snarky commentary weaved in between the
fun. Lisa felt the need to untie
one side of Brandi’s bikini bottom and she panicked (“my vagina would be in the
air!”). Mauricio, Kyle, Camille
and Paul went snorkeling around some beautiful coral and fish while Lisa
narrated from the boat (“who cares what’s down there anyway right? . . . Just
put on the science channel for gods sake when you get home”). Once again, it’s great to see these
people who really like each other and have a good time just relaxing and being
silly.
Once they were gone, Kyle was very upset and explained that
she was tired of feeling like the bad guy when she expected Kim to be
accountable for her actions. She
doesn’t know how to ignore the elephant in the room and pretend like nothing is
wrong. Lisa and Brandi had great,
supportive advice for her – but I’m not sure Kyle was in a place to hear
it. Brandi felt that Kim clearly
has a problem and she isn’t going to get the help she needs until she asks for
it herself. Everyone acknowledged
that Kyle cares very deeply for Kim, but agreed that Kim seems to be in a place
where she doesn’t care for herself.
In my opinion, Lisa said the wisest thing when she told Kyle she’s never
going to get what she wants from Kim, she can’t change her, and she needs to
move on and not let it bother her so much. Easy things to say, very difficult to put in to action.

I think Adrienne is a really tough women and it seems that she has difficulty allowing herself to be vulnerable, even with Paul. It’s evident that there is a lot of love there.
On the second night of their trip, Kyle hosted a dinner for
Mauricio’s birthday. Everyone was
seated and in the middle of a toast when Kim and Ken finally joined the
party. You could see from the
moment they walked to the table, Kyle was annoyed with them and expected some
sort of explanation about where they had been and what had taken them so long
to arrive in Hawaii. (Keep in mind
that they had already missed a day and a half of the trip.) What they got instead was a made up
story about Ken having to work because Kim didn’t feel like discussing the REAL
reason she was just getting there with Kyle (again something about her drivers
license being expired and not finding her passport). As a viewer, I didn’t feel like WE even got the real
explanation during her “confession” segment. Mauricio and Kyle clearly weren’t buying the “Ken had
to work” excuse, because they both thought Ken was retired. This is really the first time we see
Mauricio visibly frustrated with the situation and calling Kim on the
inconsistencies in her story.
Everyone at the table knew it was a lie, and Kim just wanted to brush it
off and move on. Mauricio and Kyle
weren’t having it and kept pushing her to tell the truth, which just resulted
in Kim getting pissy and defensive.
It seems like they were able to move on with the rest of their evening,
but there definitely a storm brewing.
The next day, Mauricio and Kyle had chartered a catamaran
and the entire group was sitting on a bus outside the resort waiting for Kim
and Ken for over 20 minutes.
It was 11:30am, and Kyle and Lisa went up to their room, looking for
them. What happened in the next 5
minutes were the funniest of the entire episode! The two of them dressed in their glamorous beachwear and
jewelry looked like a couple of wanna-be super spies!! Between banging on the outside of Kim’s
hotel door to climbing over Kyle’s balcony, the commentary was stand-up special
worthy! Lisa – “I don’t want
to see them humping or anything”.
Kyle – “nobody calls it that”.
Kyle - “You’re going to
jump in those heels?” Lisa –
“I work out in these heels – oh my ass is stuck in the thing!” Kyle had to half lift / half pull Lisa
over the divider wall between the balconies. Hysterical!
They seemed to get Kim’s attention through the sliding glass doors, and
then walked around again to their hotel door. After some nonsense about the alarm not going off,
they said they thought they would be 10 minutes or so (if they could find Kim’s
suit bottoms) and they were sorry.
Kim and Lisa left their room, went back downstairs and decided that they
should leave and head out for their day.
Once at the dock, the boat was beautiful, they were all ready to go, the
girls were comparing their boobies and who had the best ones! (Camille won!) No sooner had they pulled away from the
shoreline and were motoring out to sea did Kim and Ken pull up to the
dock. Kyle saw her but they made
the decision not to turn around because they were already so delayed that they
didn’t want to miss the rest of their day. Camille summed it up best when she said Kim needed to
realize that the world doesn’t wait for her. Kyle felt bad that Kim was missing out on the day, but
she was being disrespectful of everyone else’s time.
Ken and Kim had lunch back at the hotel, and her motto of
the day was “everything works out for a reason”. It must have
come out of her mouth 4 or 5 times in the span of the next 15 minutes of the
show, whenever she wanted to move on from the topic at hand. She seemed very sluggish and somewhat
out of it. Ken was very bothered
by Lisa and Kyle banging on the door that morning, and was adamant that everyone
needed to respect Kim “or else”. It’s apparent that Kim is enjoying Ken
“having her back” as she puts it. He
wasn’t going to stand for anyone being disrespectful, and he would “throw jabs
back” if need be. The stage
was definitely being set for a showdown later on in the day.
Once again, it’s great to see these
people who really like each other and have a good time just relaxing and being
silly.
Another evening, another dinner party, another opportunity
for a train wreck. Ken was itching
for a fight, which was clear from the moment he confronted Paul and Adrienne
about what they were saying to Kim (which was nothing by positive commentary
about Ken). That encounter
made Ken look like an over-protective bully, and I’m surprised that Paul stood
for it. Everyone looked beautiful,
the room was glamorous and it was clearly going to be a Five-Star dinner if
they could get through it without bloodshed. Kyle gave a wonderful toast to her husband, and you can
really see the love between the two of them. As the evening progressed (and maybe the cocktails??) Kyle
felt that Kim was being disrespectful of Mauricio’s birthday by pretending
everything was fine when she had missed 90% of the planned events. All Kyle (and everyone at the table
wanted) was for Kim to be honest and accountable for her actions. Clearly that was not going to
happen, and Ken jumping in with his two cents worth (“We don’t’ care”) did
nothing to help the situation.
Instead of continuing to be confronted about her lies and behavior
during the trip, Kim and Ken excused themselves and left the room.

Back on the mainland we saw Taylor go to Dana’s house for
lunch. We haven’t really gotten to
know much about Ms. Wilkey this season outside of label dropping and $25,000
sunglasses, but this episode really showed how much she cares for Taylor. She started by telling Taylor how
worried she had been about her since the White Party, and how she has always
believed and supported her. Dana
was struggling to find the right words to tell Taylor that she wanted to
support her now but she is afraid and doesn’t know how. Taylor interrupted her to tell her that
her marriage to Russell was over. Taylor
said that she left him and he’s gone.
Dana listened to her talk of everything she has done in the last 6
months to make it work and that they have both finally recognized that they
cant be together anymore. Dana
told her that everybody sensed it, which is why they wanted her to speak
up. When she wouldn’t, they needed
to pull away from her because they couldn’t stand what was going on
anymore. Dana told her that she
felt like everyone would come around and be supportive of her, and that she
loves Taylor very much. I was very
glad to see Dana being so supportive of Taylor, and Taylor being honest (as
much as we saw on camera) about what has been happening the last 6 months. Unfortunately, we all know that the
worst is yet to come.
